The purpose of this map is to identify areas where there is a need to ensure extractive resources can be extracted and distributed without interference from incompatible uses, and that sites are rehabilitated once extraction is complete. Note that the buffers for Key Resource Areas 71 and 72 fall within Logan's boundaries, despite the KRAs themselves lying within Redlands City Council area. Developed using State Government mapping, previous planning schemes, aerial photography, and advice from Council's Roads Construction & Maintenance branch. Buffers added based on resource type (200m, hard rock = 1km). |
